Historical Poland is a mod produced from a lot of in-depth research into the Polish Second Republic’s situation in the WW2 era while being designed to plug seamlessly into the Vanilla Hoi4 experience. If you are looking for an in-depth country focus mod with detailed history and plausible history, then this product is for you.
What is this site? This site is an ever growing tool that allows users to create and collaborate in creating mods for Hearts of Iron IV, whilst also serving as a hub for modding help, discussion, and general HOI4 conversations.
The Polish DLC 'UNITED AND READY' must be active in the launcher for this to work. No DLCs are required, some features may be disabled without them. Will not be compatible with other mods that modify the province map.
We highly recommend a neutral or democratic playthrough for the best experience as this mod focuses on actual/very plausible history.
We have recently updated for Man the Guns. Please let us know if you encounter issues.

Latest Update – 6/7/2019 – Mechanized Unit changes

-Revised Polish Mechanized techs.
—Adjusted Polish Mechanized techs with historically used armoured vehicles instead of artillery tractors.
—The 1934 mechanized slot is now the wz. 34 (not to be confused with the armoured car by the same name). The wz. 34, also known by its variant, the C4P, was used sometimes to carry infantry. In particular, the 10th motorized used them in the occupation of Zaolzie.
—Poland now starts with Mechanized 1 researched.
—Modernizing the cavalry now gives a 1-year ahead of time research bonus.
—Mechanization experiments decision for Sanation Right now requires motorized tech research only. This makes it much easier for Poland to historically raise its planned motorized/mechanized brigades.
—Poland’s motorized artillery regiment templates are now 1x Mechanized, 1x Motorized artillery plus support brigades.
—Including deployed equipment on the field, Poland starts with 125 mechanzied-1 equipment in 1936.
To adress a common question; For those wondering why Poland doesn’t start with motorized tech, the Polish high command saw a need to develop a specialized truck with a suspension and required power that could handle Poland’s notoriously poor muddy roads. The Polski Fiat 626 was seen as inadequate for the military’s future plans. This is where the domestic PZInż 703/713/723 truck series comes in. With the central industrial region constructed, Polish planners were hoping to produce around 12k to 20k of these trucks in 1940. (as always, just a little too late) Several captured models were later employed in the USSR.
