How Long Is The Dyson Warranty Information
The Dyson V7 offers a convenient and cord-free way of maintaining your wood floors. It has impressive suction and was among the few units that got a perfect score in our suction tests. The Dyson was excellent at picking up flour, which we used to simulate the fine dust that collects in your home. Competing bare floor vacuum cleaners would leave a lot of the flour behind, even on the smoothest of flooring, but the V7 got it all. It was also impressive with kitty litter. While most of the hard floor vacuums flung the kitty litter out of the way initially, this one was able to clear it on the first pass.
The V7 had some trouble on sawdust, which was meant to simulate lightweight messes in your home, but it had less trouble than most. While competitors pushed the sawdust out of the way, the V7 was able to gather more of the sawdust into the path of its suction on the first pass.
The V7 is louder than it should be for such a compact unit, but no hardwood floor vacuum cleaner is truly quiet. We like the ones that are as quiet as can be, though. The long wand makes it possible to reach draperies and dusty ceiling corners, and the crevice and dusting brush attachments can help even more with tasks like that. One design drawback is the small dust cup. It means you will have to stop and empty on a pretty regular basis. This manufacturer doesn't offer as long a warranty on its smaller vacs as it does on the larger units, but the two-year coverage on the V7 is still very respectable. There is a lot to be said for the compact, lightweight design of the V7. Snapping it out of its charging station for a quick clean-up on the kitchen floor or front hall is convenient, but its tiny dust bin and limited battery life mean it is not good for longer cleaning jobs or meaningful maintenance of larger bare floor areas.
